Business Coaching Services

Business Coaching is one of the best ways to improve your business results and have more fun at work.

"Leaders cast a long shadow. "When they are able to walk their talk, people listen and are likely to follow suit, improving the levels of enthusiasm, trust, and team effectiveness throughout a team or organization."

Group Business Coaching

Are you feeling alone, finding it hard to share your business issues with someone who will truly understand and be supportive?  Sometimes realising that you are not alone is half the battle. Many businesses face very similar issues and group coaching is a supportive and affordable environment to enable the changes you want.

Join with other business owners or managers for monthly sessions for 6 months. Sessions are 60 mins to 90 mins and between these sessions there is an optional coffee catch up with the group.  When we meet depends on the group, popular times are at the beginning or the end of the work day and some prefer during the day. Small groups have about 5 members while larger groups can have up to 12.

The session is a mixture of teachings from me, questions for your reflection and group sharing and support.

Benefits include:

  • Access to first class advice and real-life business experience,
  • Realising that other businesses are in a very similar position to you,
  • Not reinventing the wheel as you can learn from those that have been there and done that, and
  • A monthly reflection and planning time for you, so you can start to see the wood for the trees.

Investment is $285 for large groups and $545 for small groups for the full 6 months, you won’t get this experience at a comparable rate anywhere else. I offer a money back guarantee - if after the first class you aren't happy, you can get a full refund.

Studies show that a mean return on investment for business coaching is 7 times, with a quarter reporting returns of 10 to 49 times.  That a mean return of about  $2,000 and at 49 times that would over $11,000 for the class.

Frequently Asked Questions about Business Coaching

Shall I get more organised or start now?

Start now.  There is always a long list of things that you want to get done at work.  Coaching will help you be more effective, so start getting help now.

How often do we meet?

Most groups meet monthly.  This gives you time to consider and implement what you have learnt and have questions for your next meeting.

Monthly meetings can work well for one on one coaching and board advisory, the timeframe is flexible.

What do we cover in the sessions?

What is covered depends on what you need.  Topics that might be covered include:

  • Getting clear on your purpose, your 'why'.
  • Managing your energy (and not your time)
  • Mindfulness
  • Strategy – how to develop a good one that you actually implement
  • Fears and things that hold us back
  • Marketing, getting clear on your message
  • Communication and having tough conversations
  • Managing staff.

I’m busy; is there homework?

No.  You will learn lots of things to apply at work (and in life).  These will be changes that you choose to make because they are making your life happier and easier.  Further information is sometimes provided between the meetings but its up to you how much you do.

How do I get more information?

Get in touch with me, send me an email or give me a call.  We can discuss what would work best for you.

Can I afford it?

Yes, coaching has a great return on investment and group coaching is even more affordable.

global survey of coaching clients by PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the Association Resource centre concluded that the mean ROI for companies investing in coaching was 7 times the initial investment, with over a quarter reporting an ROI of 10 to 49 times.

Can you afford not to?

I have a business partner; can I do this with or without her/him?

Either is good.  The coaching is designed so you can do this on your own and share your learnings with your partner.  Doing the coaching together works well too, you will have some new ideas to try together.

Do I have to share confidential information?

No.  What you share is up to you. The group does agree to keep information confidential but you choose what you do share.

Are you coaching out of Nelson?

Yes. If we can't be in the same room I've found that Skype and phone calls work well. Presently my face to face coaching is focused on the Nelson region and will soon be starting in Auckland too.

Nelson is a great location to bring your key team for a workshop or strategy day.  Make a long weekend of it, Nelson is a great place for a break.

Can I learn more about group coaching?

Yes, I regularly have information sessions on the group coaching so people can find out more and see who they might like to be matched with. Just get in touch and I can let you know when the next session is.
